Get to know me…..

Certified sleep consultant, founder of The Lullaby Nurse and qualified paediatric nurse and most importantly, a mummy to two beautiful little girls, born in April 2023 and September 2025.

If you’ve landed here, you’re probably either having a little nosey, or you’re here because your little one just isn’t sleeping at night. This is where I’m here to help…

Sleep is one of the biggest worries parents bring to me. Not because they’re doing anything wrong, but because infant sleep is complex. It’s developmental, constantly changing, and deeply individual to every single child. When you combine that with exhaustion, endless opinions, and the overwhelming amount of advice online, it’s no surprise that so many parents end up feeling lost, anxious, and completely overwhelmed.

When I became a mum, my biggest fear was that I wouldn’t get enough sleep. I’m one of those people who needs a lot of sleep! Always have, always will. Having a ‘nana nap’ in the afternoon is my idea of a perfect day.

When my first daughter arrived, I thought I had completely lucked out. She loved her sleep just as much as I did. Nights felt manageable, and I naively thought I’d cracked this whole baby sleep thing.

Then my second daughter arrived… and everything changed. She was nothing like her big sister when it came to sleep. Nights were unpredictable, she was awake for long periods of time, wake-ups were frequent, and suddenly I found myself doing what so many parents do, sitting awake in the middle of the night, Googling everything.

“Is this normal?”
“Should she be awake for this long?”
“Why is she waking up so much?”

Before I knew it, I had fallen down a rabbit hole of sleep advice, conflicting information, and endless opinions. I felt unsure, tired, very emotional all the time and desperate for answers.

But something else happened during that time too. I became completely fascinated by infant sleep.

I realised that so many parents were feeling exactly the way I was: exhausted, confused, and just wanting someone to guide them without judgement.

That’s what led me to train as a certified sleep consultant.

Because no parent should feel alone at 3am wondering if they’re doing something wrong.

The Lullaby Nurse was created from that place. From real motherhood, real exhaustion, and a real desire to support families through one of the most challenging parts of early parenting.

Hi, I’m Gina

Why work with me?

With over 10 years' experience as a paediatric nurse, and five of those years working with families as a school nurse and health visitor, I've spent my career supporting children (and the adults who care for them) through some of their most challenging stages.

My approach to sleep is evidence-based, practical and compassionate. I don't believe in unrealistic expectations or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I work with families to create sleep plans that are realistic, responsive and tailored to their child and to them.

I also believe that wanting your evenings back, or a proper date night with your partner, is not only completely valid, it's important. Taking care of yourself and your relationship makes you a better parent, and there is absolutely no judgement here for wanting that.

At The Lullaby Nurse, my aim is simple: to help families feel confident, informed and supported, while guiding their child towards better sleep in a way that feels right for them.
